How to: Install WordPress in CPanel Manually


WordPress is web software tool by which you create a beautiful website or blog for free. WordPress is simple and better software tool for the website creation. Most of the web servers supports the WordPress. WordPress doesn’t require any coding by the user. In WordPress plugins can be added, with the plugins additional functions can be added to the WordPress website. Design of the website also can be changed with themes. Many themes are available in the www.wordpress.org for free and some themes which contains huge design features may cost a little. Since WordPress provides security with simplicity.
Steps for  Manual WordPress Installation:
Step 1: Go to www.wordpress.org . Click on the Download WordPress. A .zip or .tar.gz  package will be downloaded.
Step 2: After downloading the WordPress, Upload it to the  server in the file location where you can access the file again. If you are aware of Subdomain creation skip to Step 4.
Step 3: Here we are going to create a subdomain  (wp.tobbynews.com) for the manual WordPress Installation.
Steps for Creating the Subdomain in CPanel:
(A): Login to the CPanel, Click on the Subdomain menu. A new window will appear for creating  the subdomain in the Domain Submenu.
(B): Enter the name for the subdomain. The Document for the subdomain will be generated automatically. You can change the Document root for the Subdomain.
(C):  Then Click “Create “ button.If the subdomain has created a window will be displayed that ‘The Subdomain has created”.

Step 4: Open the CPanel File manager.
Select the WordPress package in the Server( file that already uploaded  in the server in Step 2).

Step 5: Create a new  folder “wordpress“ in the server Public Html  directory(“/public_html/wordpress).
Go back to the WordPress Package and Extract the content of the package in the new folder(“/public_html/wordpress).
Now you want to select the Extracted WordPress Installation Files.In some WordPress packages will have subfolder called “wordpress” in that folder only WordPress Installation files will available. You must select those files by the “Select All“in the menu.
Step 6: Copy the files to the  Document Root Directory of the Domain or Subdomain.

A Copy window will be displayed. Enter the Destination path (“/public_html/wp)  in the Copy window. And Click Copy.
The files will be copied to the (“/public_html/wp), Now the wp-admin-sample.php file wants to edit and rename.
Step 7: Now open the Document Root Directory and select the file “wp-admin-sample” in the“/public_html/wp, Open the file “wp-admin-sample” file through the “Code Editor”.
and then The code editor Message window will appear to approve conformation for editing the file in code editor.  A new browser window will appear to edit the wp-cofig-sample.php file.
Step 8: Now the Database name,Database User name and the Database user Password have to be given at the respected field. And Click on the “Save Changes” button on the top right corner of the Window.
Step 9: Rename the File  wp-cofig-sample.php  to  wp-cofig.php then only configuration file will work.
And type the name of the file as  wp-cofig.php
Step 10:  Then open Your Browser and type the                                                                                                                                                                              URL: “http://subdomain name with domain name(or)YourDomainname/wp-admin/install.php” for this tutorial we are using a subdomain so the URL for this tutorial is http://wp.tobbynews.com/wp-admin/install.php . And Load Your URL.
Step 11: Enter the Site Title, Username for the WordPress, Password twice, Your E-mail Id,and Check the Privacy Box if your site want to get indexed in Google and Click “Install WordPress“.
If the WordPress successfully installed This window will be displayed
Then Click “Log In” to login in to the WordPress Dashboard.
